Financial Policy

For the convenience of our patients, we now accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards. We can take those payments over the phone or in person.

Self pay/contract payments are due in full at the time of service. **Please note that due to Pain Clinic rules, we can accept cash and money orders for copays and coinsurance amounts only—our self pay/contract patients will need to pay by check or credit card.

All insurance copays are due at the time of service. We will then send out a statement for any coinsurance amounts due after your insurance carrier has paid. If unable to pay in full at the time of that initial statement, you should call our office at 423-392-8100 to make arrangements to settle the account.

Due to the high cost of billing, we are unable to manage delinquent accounts in-house; if you have not made arrangements for settlement, collection proceedings for an outside collection agency will begin at the time of the second statement.

If you have been involved in an accident (motor vehicle, etc.), please note that we do not file liability insurance. You will be expected to pay at the time services are rendered and settle with the liability on your own. We do not hold accounts awaiting settlement: the charges are your responsibility on the day they are incurred. If you filed subrogation with your health insurance, we will bill your health plan for you with the understanding that you are responsible for all normal copayment and coinsurance amounts.
